Policies

Appointment Booking and Cancellation

   - Booking: Appointments must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

   - Cancellation: Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. Late cancellations and no shows will incur a $50 fee.


Payment

   - Payment Methods: Accepted forms of payment include cash, mobile apps including Venmo and Cash App, credit/debit cards, and check. 

   - Payment Due: Payment is due at the time of the session.

   - Gratuity: Tips are appreciated but not mandatory.


Client Space Preparation

   - Space Requirements: Please ensure there is enough space for the massage table and for me to move around comfortably (approximately 6' x 10' of clear space).

   - Cleanliness: The area should be clean, free of distractions. 


Health and Safety

   - Medical Conditions: Clients must disclose any existing medical conditions, injuries, or allergies before the session begins.

   - Sickness Policy: If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness, please reschedule your appointment.

   - COVID-19: I adhere to safety protocols, including wearing masks upon request and sanitizing equipment. Clients should notify me of any recent exposure to illness.


Client Comfort and Modesty

   - Draping: Clients will be properly draped at all times, and only the area being worked on will be exposed.

   - Client Feedback: Please feel free to communicate any discomfort or adjust pressure levels during the massage.

Scope of Practice

   - Professional Boundaries: I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, nor provide medical advice. Massage therapy is for relaxation and wellness purposes only.

   - Referrals: If any condition appears to be outside the scope of massage therapy, I will refer you to the appropriate healthcare professional.


Liability Waiver

   - Clients must sign a liability waiver acknowledging the risks associated with massage therapy and confirming that they understand massage is not a substitute for medical treatment.


Travel Policy

   - Travel Area: I serve the Twin Cities region. Appointments outside of this area may incur an additional travel fee.

   - Parking: Please ensure there is convenient parking available near your home. 

Privacy and Confidentiality

   - All client information, including health history and personal details, is kept confidential and will not be shared without written consent.


Termination of Session

   - I reserve the right to terminate the session if there is inappropriate behavior or if I feel unsafe for any reason. No refund will be provided in these cases.


Changes to these Policies

We may update our Policies from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Policy on this page.


We will let you know via email prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy page.


You are advised to review these Policies periodically for any changes. Changes to these Policies are effective when they are posted on this page.
